Dingle Peninsula - Making and Painting Your Own Pottery
And now, for something completely different. We all know how creative children can be given the chance. How about giving them a lump of clay and letting them transform it into something that you will cherish for years to come?

At Louis Mulcahy’s Pottery at Clogher Head on the Dingle Peninsula your children can do just that. A special room has been set up with a potter’s wheel and assistance and guidance will be provided by the friendly staff. And the great thing about it is that’s it’s FREE to have a go!

For just 19.90, the staff will decorate and fire it in the kiln and post it on to you.

Louis Mulcahy’s is open 7 days / all year around.

Just up the road, near Ballyferriter, is Faoileán Pottery. Here Betty Ryan offers the opportunity to paint your own pottery. This is a really fun thing to do!

Choose from small tea sets, sugar bowls, cash boxes or mugs. Paint your own design, maybe a personal message. Betty will then fire it in the kiln and it can be collected later.
